The reason a juvenile case and an adult case is different is because we are under the age of 18 which means that we have to be in a lock up facility or placed in a placement facility. An adults go to jail and prison. Adults don’t have MDT meetings and juvenile’s do. Adult’s also don’t have family laisian they don’t have group process they have to deal and learn things on their own. Adults can get bailed out and juvenile’s can’t. If you ask me I think that adults have it way easier.

  2. Procedures for Commitment to a Mental Health Facility. Should the juvenile, the
prosecuting attorney, the probation officer, or the court on its own motion, request
disposition pursuant to West Virginia Code § 49-5-13(b)(6), the following shall apply:
    (1) The DHHR Bureau for Behavioral Health and Health Facilities shall be given
notice that the court is considering a commitment of the juvenile to a mental health
    facility.

this is diffrent because aludts wouldent get this kinda treatment.

  3. 1) List 2 ways juveniles may be treated differently than adults?
    • Adolescents may exercise
poor judgment because they are impulsive, vulnerable to peer pressure, do not look
long enough into the future, and tend to underestimate the risks of a crime and
overestimate its rewards. Given their immaturity, youth under age 15 are not able to
    participate competently in criminal proceedings.

    • adolescents do know right from
wrong and should be held accountable for their crimes. Of serious youth offenders,
most can turn their lives around, with only 10% becoming chronic, frequent offenders.

    2) List crimes that can result in transfer to adult jurisdiction?
Severe offenses, like murder or gang-related acts, in 44 states of the USA are treated the same as crimes committed by adults: "Beginning around 35 years ago, increases in violent juvenile crime permitted judges to transfer juveniles to adult-criminal courts.

    3) EXPLAIN EXPUNGEMENT?
The omission, sealing, deletion, or obliteration of records. Thereafter, the person may legally deny the existence of the records and may not be denied any permit, license, or employment based upon the expunged records. However, expunged records may be disclosed for purposes of a pending criminal investigation or prosecution. W. Va. Code § 61-11-25.

    4) RELATE 3 BILLS OF RIGHTS TO ANY OF THE ABOVE?
1 1-1. Relations to the government of the United States.
    -4. Representatives to Congress.
    1-2. Internal government and police.

  4. Juveniles can be treated differently from adults because some say juveniles haven’t hit their maturity level yet.

Three crimes that can go to adult jurisdiction is murder, malicious wounding, and rape.
Expungement-In the common law legal system,
