    What is Plagiarism? Plagiarism is when you steal someone elses work without giving the original author credit and also by not paraphrasing or citing the work. This is all of the stuff that is known as plagiarism. Another way to avoid plagiarism is to give the original author credit, cite your sources, and paraphrase. Also, another term for plagiarism is copyright. The latin meaning of plagiarism is “kidnapper.” Also, another term is stealing and academis dishonesty.

  8. The word plagiarism derives from Latin roots: plagiarius, an abductor, and plagiare, to steal. The expropriation of another author's text, and the presentation of it as one's own, constitutes plagiarism and is a serious violation of the ethics of scholarship. It undermines the credibility of historical inquiry.

    Copyright- Copyright is a protective barrier that doesn’t allow people to take your words.
