    We West test because people need to see how much we learned in school this year.
    WESTEST- West Virginia Educational Standards Test
    The WESTEST is a test designed by west virginia board of educators to test the skills of West Virginia students
    NCLB- No Child Left Behind
    NCLB is an act that states that a state has to give a standerized test. It was made by George W. Bush.

    WESTEST stands for WV Eduication Standards Test. The WESTEST is used to determine a students ability on various subject matters. The test rates the students knowledge of a subject and places him/her in one of 5 cattigories: distinguished, above mastery, mastery, below mastery, and novice. Test scores are used to determine whether or not a student will advance to the next grade level and the classes a student should be placed into.

    WEST-TEST- is a test to test the children’s ability in school. Also, WESTEST was the West Virginia educational achievement test from May 2004 to May 2008. Its official name was the West Virginia Educational.
    NCLB- is The No Child Left behind Act of 2001.
    I think that the both of these programs are very good and they affect the teachers and the students. I also, think that they will help the school system in a very positive way in the near future. I will hope that the NCLB program will help the children that are falling behind and will bring them back up to the top. Also, I would love to become a part of the NCLB so I can do something with my life. That is what I got Mr. Garvin so I hope that you like it.

    The WesTest is a test you take to see what classes you are going to be taking the following year. Also the WesTest is a test that is scored by Novice, Mastery, Above Mastery and distinguish. I think that the test that I have been taking is hard, but I am making it through it. The WesTest is a bunch of BS to me. I don't think we should have to take it every year. I thik we should only have to take it one every 4 years.

    The No Child Left Behind is a good thing that the congress and government are doing just to help people out. What I think about the NCLB is that it is a good thing for the kids that are not being left behind and getting mad fun of by other childeren that are getting ahead by thierselves.

    Westest- means West Virginia educational standards test also was the West Virginia achievements test in May 2004 to May 2008. Performance Levels were, from highest to lowest, Distinguished, Above Mastery, Mastery, Partial Mastery, and Novice.

    NCLB- means no child left behind act is a United States Act of Congress that was originally proposed by the administration of President George W. Bush immediately after taking office.

    WESTEST was the West Virginia educational achievement test from May 2004 to May 2008. Its official name was the West Virginia Educational Standards Test. The Performance Levels were, from highest to lowest, Distinguished, Above Mastery, Mastery, Partial Mastery, and Novice. A student who achieved a score below Mastery in one or more subject areas was not required to repeat the grade. The WESTEST was administered to students in grades 3-8 in the subject areas of Math, Science, Social Studies, and Reading/Language Arts. The WESTEST was also administered to 10th grade students, but there was no Social Studies component. Some students took "mini" or practice tests in order to prepare for the official WESTEST in early May. These practice tests were reviewed by teachers. WESTEST will be replaced with the WESTEST 2 in 2009. Field tests for WESTEST 2 were underway in late 2008. I think taht The WESTEST is just a test to show that some teachers are nor properly doing their job. I think that this test is just to show us that we can do betetr than we think which is the upside to the test. the's my opinion of this test.

    i think the west test is a good test but i think that its bull $h!t that we cant just take the test and be put in a higher grade cause that would inspier my to do good on it.

    WEST TEST is West Virginia's eduational achievement test. It is usually taken in late May.
    NCLB is an act that was started in 2001 by the Bush Administration. It is standard based education reform.

    AND... I have no idea what I think about this stuff, im just glad I only have seven more days of school...then schools out foreverrrr!!!

    Westest – A.K.A standard test education, learning and studying.
    NCLB - No Child Left Behind, The Act requires states to develop assessments in basic skills to be given to all students in certain grades, if those states are to receive federal funding for schools.     Westest is used to see what grade we should be in, what skills we are being teached.

    is a custom-designed assessment for West Virginia students. The individual content assessments measure a student’s levels of performance on clearly defined standards and objectives and skills. Student scores are based on test questions that have been developed and aligned to the West Virginia 21st Century cso’s.
    The assessment results provide information about a student’s academic strengths, as well as areas that need improvement. The parent/guardian will receive a student report that indicates levels of performance in each of the content areas. Student performance is measured by West Virginia academic standards rather than a comparison to the performance of a national sample population of students. Results of the tests will be used by educators to improve student learning and performance.

    The WESTEST is a custom designed test for West Vriginia students. The WESTEST affects the person who is taking it because the test determinds what types of class they should put you in for next your. The reason we have to take the WESTEST is to measure a student`s level of performance on clearly defined standardsand skill levels. The WESTEST stand for West Virginia Educational Standards Test.
    NCLB is No child left behind. NCLB is for teens who are failing and to help them. NCLB is to guarantee accountability, provide freedom for communities and school districts and more choices for parents.

    WEST-TEST- is a test That test the children’s ability in school.The WESTTEST originall name was the West Virginia Educational.
    NCLB- Is The No Child Left behind Act of 2001.
    I think that haveing both of these test help out the board of eduacation to know how well there teachers are doing. I also, think that it can help the sudents to become more successful in there life. I hope that the NCLB can help young iids to become better then what they are now.

    NCLB -The No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 , often abbreviated in print as NCLB and sometimes shortened in pronunciation to "nicklebee".the US education act, was passed with bi-partisan support in 2002. Under the act, an additional $4bn a year is made available to support initiatives in schools.
    Wes test-is a custom-designed assessment for West Virginia students.


    What is west test good for?
    The individual content assessments measure a student’s levels of performance on clearly defined standards and objectives and skills. Student scores are based on test questions that have been developed and aligned to the West Virginia 21st Century CSOs. WESTEST 2 Online Writing is a part of the reading/language arts portion of WESTEST 2. Sample test questions may be found on the Teach 21 website.

    The assessment results provide information about a student’s academic strengths, as well as areas that need improvement. The parent/guardian will receive a student report that indicates levels of performance in each of the content areas. Student performance is measured by West Virginia academic standards rather than a comparison to the performance of a national sample population of students.     The West Virginia Department of Education recently initiated a media campaign to inform the public how education in West Virginia is changing as schools move towards Global 21 education. The Test Your Knowledge newspaper ads along with other media are posted on our website. Also, as a support to educators in charting student performance in meeting global challenges, the West Virginia Department of Education has provided instructional benchmarks designed to assess student progress over the course of the school year.

    The westest basically is to measure a student’s levels of performance . It will determine what classes you take the following year thoe. Thats one reason why you should never guess on the questions. NCLB means No Child Left Behind.NCLB is a program for teens that are failing and need help, it helps them out alot. On the westest The assessment results provide information about a student’s academic strengths, as well as areas that need improvement. - Ciara
