  1. A vortex is a spinning, often turbulent, flow of fluid.
A Super Cell is a thunderstorm that is characterized by the presence of a mesocyclone; a deep, continuously-rotating updraft.
There are other names for a Tornado like these, Tister, Cyclone, Watersprout, Dust Devil, and Funnels.
Tornado Alley was in Central United States.
Tornado Super Outbreak was in Canada in April 3, 4 1974.

    1. A Vortex Super cell is a thunderstorm that is characterized by the presence of a mesocyclone; a deep, continuously-rotating updraft.
    2. Twisters and Cyclones are also another name for Tornadoes.
    3. 3. A large portion of these tornadoes form in an area of the central united states known as Tornado Alley.
    4. The death toll for the tornado that hit Joplin, Mo. has risen to 117 as of Tuesday morning. It is the deadliest tornado recorded in U.S. history, according to the National Weather Service. The half-mile-wide twister with estimated wind speed of 190-198 mph damaged or destroyed somewhere between 10 percent to 30 percent of Joplin and roughly 2,000 structures, estimates the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency.

  3. 1.)Vortex-a whirling mass of water, especially one in which a force of suction operates, as a whirlpool.
Supercell- a thunderstorm that is characterized by the presence of a mesocyclone; a deep, continuously-rotating updraft
2.) Names that describe types of tornadoes- gustnado, dust devil, fire winds, steam devil, landspout, multiple vortex tornado, waterspout, non-supercellular, condensation funnel
3.) Tornadoes have been observed on every continent except Antarctica. However, the vast majority of tornadoes in the world occur in the Tornado Alley region of theUnited States, although they can occur nearly anywhere in North America. They also occasionally occur in south-central and eastern Asia, thePhilippines, northern and east-central South America, Southern Africa, northwestern and southeast Europe, western and southeastern Australia, and New Zealand.
4.) Joplin, Missouri Tornado was the single deadliest in the entire United States since 1950. It destroyed everything in its path. Nothing was left and numerable amounts of citizens were left dead. Many still have yet to be found.

  4. Vortex - A spinning, often turbulent, flow of fluid.
Supercell – A Supercell is a thunder storm that is characterized by the presence of a mesocyclone;a deep,continounsly- rotating updraft. These are also sometimes known as rotating thunderstorms.
Different types of Tonadoes – Rope Tornadao, Wedge Tornadoes, Water Spouts, Dust Devils, Fire Whirls, Supercell Tornadoes, Land Spout, Gustnado, Steam Devil, and Multiple Vortex.
    Tornado Alley
Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma , Florida, are the states that receive the most tornadoes. The Tornado alley runs along the whole right side of the United states But most of these tornadoes like to stick between Texas all the way to Virginia.
    Joplin Disaster –
116 Deaths At this time and expected to find more. This was the Nations Deadliest tornado and the second major tornado disaster in less than one month. This tornadoes winds were up to 190 to 198 miles per hour and was three-quarters of a mile wide and these people only had 10 to 17 minutes warning and by the time most people were coming out of there houses the tornado was already coming over them.

  5. The tornado that killed 116 people in Joplin, Missouri, was the deadliest single U.S. twister since 1953, with winds that may have reached 198 miles per hour (319 kph), At least 481 people have died in tornadoes so far this year, the earliest such a high toll has ever been reached,Tomorrow is expected to be another active day for tornados from Kansas to Texas. Ther Joplin Tornado is Very disastorous and frighting to me and its scares me to death.

There were 148 tornadoes reported on that day including westvirginia in April3-4,1974

  6. A tornado is "a violently rotating column of air, in contact with the ground, either pendant from a cumuliform cloud or underneath a cumuliform cloud, and often (but not always) visible as a funnel cloud".
A vortex is a spinning, often turbulent, flow of fluid. There are many names for tornado there can be multi-vortex tornadoes, Waterspouts, and suction vortices. There are many different shapes though some of the most common are: Rope, Wedge, Stovepipe, and Elephant Trunk.
The “Super Outbreak” of tornadoes of April 3-4 1974 was the greatest such event in recorded history. In less than 18 hours 330 people were killed and some 900 square miles in 13 states suffered tornado damage. In the central United States is known as the tornado alley.
Joplin, Missouri, the death toll from a monster tornado rose to 125 on Wednesday after an overnight search turned up more bodies but no new survivors said authorities. The tornado hit hard, with only little time to prepare many people had no chance to survive. If they we’re warned ahead of time more people would have had the opportunity to survive. So we need to upgrade are technology so we can save more people lives.

  7. The tornado alley is the area between the Rocky Mountains and the Appalachian mountains.

    A supercell is a thunderstorm a deep, continuously-rotating updraft.
A gustnado is a specific type of short-lived, low-level rotating cloud that can form in a severe thunderstorm.
dust devil is a strong, well-formed, and relatively long-lived whirlwind, ranging from small (half a meter wide and a few meters tall) to large (more than 10 meters wide and more than 1000 meters tall). The primary vertical motion is upward. Dust devils are usually harmless, but rare ones can grow large enough to threaten both people and property.
A fire whirl, colloquially fire devil or fire tornado, is a rarely captured phenomenon in which a fire, under certain conditions (depending on air temperature and currents), acquires a vertical vorticity and forms a whirl, or a tornado-like vertically oriented rotating column of air.
A steam devil is a small, weak whirlwind over water (or sometimes wet land) that has drawn fog into the vortex, thus rendering it visible. They form over large lakes and oceans during cold air outbreaks while the water is still relatively warm, and can be an important mechanism in vertically transporting moisture.
A multiple-vortex tornado is a tornado that contains several vortices rotating around, inside of, and as part of the main vortex.
A landspout is a slang-term coined by meteorologist Howard B. Bluestein in 1985 for a kind of tornado not associated with the mesocyclone of a thunderstorm.
A waterspout is an intense columnar vortex (usually appearing as a funnel-shaped cloud) that occurs over a body of water and is connected to a cumuliform cloud.

The states that were affected during the super outbreak was West Virginia, Tennessee, Missouri, Kentucky, Ohio, Georgia, Alabama, Virginia, North Carolina, Michigan, Illinois, Indian.
The Joplin, Missouri tornado is the most deadly in 60 years. This tornado has taken huge tole on a huge amount of Americans in Missouri. There have been houses, schools, and community businesses tore down which leads to a huge tragedy.
