When Video Games Get Problematic So Do Smoking, Drug Use and Aggression
ReplyDeleteRani Desai, associate professor of psychiatry and epidemiology and public health at Yale, and colleagues anonymously surveyed 4,028 adolescents about their gaming, problems associated with gaming and other health behaviors.
They found out that 76.3% of boys lay and 29.2 percent of girls play video games. There were no negative health consequences fo the boys but for girls it resulted in getting in serious fights and carrying a weapon to school.

Addiction is a chronic disorder. The way you act and the people you hang out with has a big impact on you being addicted. When you’re addicted you will basically do anything for your high reguardless of the consequences.
Alcoholism
Alcoholism is one of the world's biggest drug use problems. An alcoholic can develop multiple forms of addiction to alcohol. While alcohol use is required to trigger alcoholism, the way alcoholism works is uncertain.The chronic alcohol consumption caused by alcoholism can result in psychological and physiological disorders. For most people, moderate alcohol consumption poses little danger of addiction.
Other factors must exist for alcohol use to develop into alcoholism.
These factors may include a person's social environment, emotional health and genetic predisposition.
